Generators

Generators

How to use the four fivemad generators: roleplay characters, server names with hostname lines, gangs with framework exports and script ideas.

Ta dokumentacja jest na razie po angielsku.

Open the tool Last updated

The Generators page holds four random generators behind one set of tabs: Character, Server name, Gang and Script idea. They are for server owners who need names, lore or a starting point fast, and for developers looking for the next resource to build.

What it is for

  • Writing a backstory for a new roleplay character, or handing staff a batch of NPC personas for an event.
  • Naming a new server and getting working sv_hostname and sv_projectName lines with FiveM colour codes.
  • Filling a gang whitelist with an organisation that has ranks, turf, rivals and a history, then pasting the grades into QBCore, Qbox or ESX.
  • Picking a script to build that is not already released ten times on forum.cfx.re.

The open tab is kept in the address bar as ?g=, so you can share or bookmark a direct link:

Tab Link
Character /tools/generators?g=character
Server name /tools/generators?g=server-name
Gang /tools/generators?g=gang
Script idea /tools/generators?g=script-idea

Without ?g= (or with an unknown value) the page opens on Character.

Character

Rolls a full roleplay character: name, nickname, age and date of birth, birthplace, occupation, appearance (height, build, hair, eyes, notable features, usual clothes), personality tags, skills, flaws, backstory, goals, fears, relationships, story hooks and a starter inventory.

Options

Option Choices Default
Gender Random, Male, Female Random
Age range Any age, 18 to 25, 26 to 35, 36 to 50, 51 to 70 Any age
Archetype Random, Civilian, Criminal, Police, EMS, Mechanic, Lawyer, Businessman, Journalist, Street racer, Trucker, Hacker, Farmer / Rancher, Nightlife Random
Origin Random, Los Santos native, Blaine County, Liberty City, Vice City, Out of state, Abroad Random
Tone Grounded, Gritty, Dramatic, Lighthearted Grounded

Locking and re-rolling

Every block (Name, Nickname, Age / DOB, Birthplace, Occupation, Appearance, Personality, Skills, Flaws, Backstory, Goals, Fears, Relationships, Story hooks, Starter inventory) has a lock and a re-roll arrow. A locked block is kept when you press Generate; the arrow re-rolls just that one block. Unlock all appears once something is locked.

Server name

Generates 24 server names per press, each with a tagline and a coloured hostname.

Options

Option What it does Default
Theme Serious RP, Casual RP, Gang / Street, Police / Emergency, Racing, Drift, Economy, Zombie / Survival, Freeroam, Whitelisted, Blaine County RP, Turkish community Serious RP
Style Mixed, Short / brandable, City RP, Acronym, X Roleplay, Phrase + tagline Mixed
Keyword (optional) A word worked into some names, up to 24 characters. Enter generates. empty
Hostname accent The colour code used for the accent parts of the hostname: Auto (theme colour) or ^1 to ^6, ^8, ^9 Auto

Each card has a star (favourite), Hostname (copies the full sv_hostname line), Name and server.cfg. Clicking a card shows a server list preview with the colours rendered and a server.cfg block:

server.cfg
sv_hostname "^5Nova City RP ^7| Immersion first, always"
sets sv_projectName "Nova City RP"
sets sv_projectDesc "Immersion first, always"
sets tags "roleplay, serious, economy, custom, jobs, english"
sets locale "en-US"

That is a Serious RP example, whose auto accent is ^5. The tags and locale lines come from the chosen theme (the Turkish theme uses tr-TR). The accent only swaps ^1 to ^6 and ^8; the neutral ^7, ^9 and ^0 parts stay as they are. Favourites (up to 50) are kept in this browser.

Gang

Builds a criminal organisation: name and motto, colours with hex values, territory in real Los Santos areas, headquarters, symbol and graffiti tag, ranks (low to high, the top one marked boss), history with a founding year, rackets, rules, rivals and allies, vehicle spawn names, weapons and notable members with their rank.

Options

Option Choices Default
Organisation type Random, Street gang, Cartel, Motorcycle club, Mafia family, Triad, Yakuza, Bratva, Hacker collective, Heist crew Random
Size Small (8 to 15), Medium (15 to 40), Large (40 to 100), Empire (100+) Medium
Alignment Code of honour, Business first, Ruthless, Chaotic, Neighbourhood protectors Business first

Size changes how many territories, rackets, rivals and members you get, and small crews get a shorter rank ladder. Locks work like the character tab, with one catch: locked fields only survive Generate while the organisation type stays the same, and locking the name also locks the type. Colours that match GTA V lore gangs (purple Ballas, green Families, yellow Vagos) carry a warning note.

Framework export

Under the card, Framework export has three tabs:

  • QBCore: a QBShared.Gangs['key'] entry for qb-core/shared/gangs.lua, top grade with isboss = true.
  • Qbox: an entry to add inside the table returned by qbx_core/shared/gangs.lua, top grade with isboss = true, bankAuth = true.
  • ESX (SQL): INSERT rows for jobs and job_grades, because ESX has no separate gang system and most servers register gangs as whitelisted jobs.
gangs.lua
QBShared.Gangs['los_santos_kings'] = {
    label = 'Los Santos Kings',
    grades = {
        ['0'] = { name = 'Recruit' },
        ['1'] = { name = 'Soldier' },
        ['2'] = { name = 'Boss', isboss = true },
    },
}

The key is a slug of the gang name.

Script idea

Picks one of the hand-written resource ideas and builds a plan around it: title, resource name, pitch, player loop, market context, feature tiers (MVP, v1, Premium), positioning (pricing model and why), dependencies and items, client side and server side notes, net events, natives, NUI, anti-exploit checks and an effort estimate.

Options

Option What it does Default
Category Any category or one of 12 (Legal jobs, Crime & heists, Economy & business, Police, EMS & government, Vehicles, Phones & devices, UI & HUD, Admin, dev tools & creators, Social & lifestyle, Minigames & activities, PvP & survival, Housing & property). Each shows its release count and saturation. Any category
Open niches only Only ideas with little or no competition in the sample off
Trending Only ideas that ride a rising topic off
Framework QBCore, Qbox, ESX Legacy, ox_core, Standalone QBCore
Complexity Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Intermediate

Press New idea to roll. The panel tells you how many ideas match your filters. If none match every filter in a category, one filter is relaxed and a notice says so. Switching Framework or Complexity rebuilds the plan for the idea you are looking at instead of rolling a new one.

Market snapshot

The market data comes from the latest 250 releases on forum.cfx.re (10 to 18 September 2026): script vs non-script counts, paid vs free, the multi-framework share, releases per category (crowded is 20+, open is under 8), framework support shares, and rising and crowded topics.

Code tabs

Below the idea: Structure (folder tree), fxmanifest (fxmanifest.lua), config.lua, bridge.lua and, when the idea needs a database, SQL (install.sql). These are a starting skeleton for the chosen framework, not a finished resource.

Copying and history

Every generator has Copy text and Copy Markdown for the whole result, and a History list with the last 10 results you can reopen, remove or clear.

Limitations

  • Everything is generated in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
  • History and favourites live in this browser’s local storage, so they do not follow you to another device.
  • The script idea market numbers are a snapshot, not live data.
  • Generated names are random; check that a server name is not already taken before you build a brand on it.
